We were featured on ITV 1 for the series Holiday Home Sweet Home (broadcast Saturday 1 December 2012, 1.30 pm)
Approached down narrow country lanes, Rosemoor is hidden in a lovely valley, overlooking its own nature reserve and lake. We are located in the tiny hamlet of Walwyn's Castle, the few remains of which are within our 35-acre grounds, within walking distance (just 2 miles) of St.Bride's Bay.
Built in the 1840s as the country estate of a wealthy Victorian gentleman, our outbuildings now offer nine spacious, characterful and very comfortable cottages, for groups ranging from 2 to 10 people.
In converting/upgrading your cottage at Rosemoor we have aimed to provide highly modern facilities with a touch of luxury, whilst maintaining the original character and nature of the buildings and the site, and minimizing their ecological impact. You will find almost all cottages are completely double glazed, have underfloor heated slate floors, and are insulated to levels well above the latest standards. All heating and hot water is obtained from our own central biomass boiler facility, which burns wood.
Many of our cottages offer a woodburner, should you prefer to watch a fire as an alternative to the TV, and kitchens bar one are equipped with a dishwasher.
We have large, safe (partly walled) gardens, all well away from public roads, and there is an attractive playground with equipment that is big enough for adults to enjoy it too.
Guest have the use of our indoor table tennis room.
All around there are stunning views of the countryside around you, and there is the bonus of a nature lovers' paradise on your doorstep:
our own Rosemoor Nature Reserve boasts badgers, otters, orchids and other wild flowers and a great many species of birds.
Of course your accommodation comes fully equipped, with your beds made. You will find a laundry on site and all cottages have WiFi.
We offer home-cooked, pre-ordered meals for your freezer so take away the chore of cooking.
We live on site and can deal with queries and eventualities promptly.
