LOCATION
We are located 2 miles away from the picturesque village of Betws-y-Coed known as Wales' most famous inland resort and boasts high quality shops to cater for all tastes, plenty of Restaurants and a Bistro for fine dining. The market town of Llanrwst 3 miles away. Llannerch Goch Cottages are located within a varied landscape of mountains, woodland, lakes and rivers in beautiful countryside steeped in mystic Celtic history. It is an ideal location for visiting National Trust properties, the Itallian village of Portmeirion, Snowdon Mountain Railway numerous Castles, Bodnant Gardens and the spectacular Swallow Falls.
We offer 3 Luxury Self Catering Cottages in the grounds of Llannerch Goch being the Old Vicarage in Capel Garmon. All 3 cottages are centrally heated, double glazed, and there is a gas fire to keep you warm on those chilly winter evenings! We supply Sky Freeview and a DVD. All cottages have a patio with garden furniture and magnificent views overlooking the Snowdonia Mountain range. The patio is great for al-fresco dining while enjoying the panoramic views of the mountains.
SIABOD 5* Cottage is a newly converted cottage, traditional in style, originally a shippon. The cottage has a well equipped oak kitchen/dining room and a lounge. There are two bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. The double room has a kingsize bed with roll top bath, while the twin bedroom has a shower. From the spacious kitchen/dining area there are French doors opening onto the patio area. There is also a toilet downstairs.
TRYFAN 5* Cottage is a newly converted cottage, contemporary in style on ground level with a well equipped kitchen/dining room and a lounge. There are two bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. The double room has a kingsize bed with Jacuzzi bath (shower over the bath), while the twin bedroom has a shower.
THE OLD COACH HOUSE 4* Cottage is a 17th Century oak-beamed cottage lovingly restored with many original features, full of character and atmosphere. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen/dining room, lounge, bathroom (shower over the bath), one twin bedroom ground level and one double bedroom - all of which are beautifully decorated and maintained. 1 well behaved dog allowed.
ACTIVITIES
Staying in the Conwy Valley offers plenty of opportunities for those who enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds. For those who enjoy walking there are walks of all grades of difficulty ranging from mighty Snowdon which has it's own mountain railway to the more leisurely walks in the nearby Gwydir Forest and the valley floor.
Fishing opportunities vary from the upland reservoir of Llyn Brenig to trout and salmon fishing along the Conwy river down to the sea itself. Mountain biking and cycling are catered for - the Gwydir Forest Park offers two cycling routes including the Marin Trail and bikes are available for hire at Beics Betws. We provide lockable cycle storage for guests.
Tree Top Adventure is just a couple of miles away and features aerial ropeways for those seeking thrills. The Plas-y-Brenin National Mountain Centre at Capel Curig offers a range of courses and taster sessions during the summer months including skiing, climbing and canoeing. There are bowling facilities, a leisure centre and swimming pool at Llanrwst, a golf course at Betws-y-Coed and a pony trekking centre at Penmachno.
The area's industrial past can be visited at the Trefriw Woollen Mill. The National Trust own many attractions in the area - from Ty Mawr Wybrnant which is the birthplace of William Morgan (1545-1604) the first translator of the whole bible into Welsh, to the world famous Bodnant Gardens.
