Bythynnod Pengwernydd Cottages

The 200 acre farm has been farmed by the Hopkins family for the past 80 years with the 4th generation already expressing an interest in carrying on the farming tradition. We have strong family ties in the area and Welsh is the language spoken on the hearth. Pengwernydd holiday cottages are the ideal base for your holiday in Wales.

We welcome those who wish to enjoy a quiet, tranquil holiday in scenic countryside. And, for the outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy country pursuits, for example: walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing or horse riding, Pengwernydd is ideally situated to take full advantage of all that Wales has to offer. The bustling University town of Aberystwyth is a short drive from your holiday cottage. Finished to the highest standards, our newly converted self-catering holiday accommodation is within easy reach of North Wales, the Snowdonia National park; the scenic heritage coastline of Cardigan Bay with it's astounding marine wildlife such as Sun Fish, Dolphin, Grey Seal, Harbour Porpoise, to name a few; and the tourist attractions of the South - Dan Yr Ogof Caves, Oakwood Park, Pembrokeshire - are all just a day trip away from Pengwernydd.

We also provide:

• cleaning, drying and storage area for cyclists, anglers and walkers to WTB accreditation standard.

• Access for wheelchair users

• Stabling – bring your own horse on holiday, there are also many horse events in the surrounding area including shows and harness races at Tregaron and Aberystwyth
